Picked up Our Graham from Bristol on the way from grove (Mandy's house). Lunch with Rob and Heather, leaving Marmot there and on to Swansea. A swift pint in the No Sign Bar on Wind Street and on up to the Liberty Stadium doing the last leg from the station by taxi shared with a couple of Geordie lads (who were very difficult to understand).
It is a lovely stadium and the atmosphere cracking with the Toon Army to our left and Jack Army everywhere else. Good game too.
Waited for a bus back to town that never came so walked, stopping off at the Smith's Arms for a beer on the way. Then several more in town. Met the amazing Melissa in the Kon Tiki cocktail bar. That woman could talk without breathing and I could only understand about a third of what she said in her machine-gun Port Talbot accent. Apparently she loves Cheltenham and it is the best place in the whole world. Amazing. Then dinner in a proper Chinese a few more beers and a relatively early night as we were all knackered.
But it was another brilliant fun day from start to finish. Bloody brilliant.
Just a shame we were a few days too early to catch Gerald with his organ at the Smith's.
